Louisiana On The Verge Of Towing Uninsured Cars

A panel in the Louisiana House recently approved a bill that will allow police agencies to tow uninsured vehicles if they are stopped for other reasons.

The number of uninsured drivers across America has increased over the last few years. In some states as many as 28% of the drivers to not have insurance. The bill is meant to lower the number of uninsured motorists in Louisiana and protect citizens who are insured.

The bill must now run through the House for further debate before it is sent to the Senate. The bill may be wise in its concept, but should the government have the right to take a person’s vehicle for lack of insurance?

In any case, it might be a better time than ever to make sure you have Louisiana uninsured motorist coverage, that’s for sure.
